- Up to $3,500 per month
- 1-year contract from Aug 2026
- Mon - Fri, office hours
- Central working location *2 days WFH per week, subject to work exigencies
Responsibilities :
- Assist curators with research and preparation of content for a range of projects, including gallery rotations and exhibitions.
- Conduct in-depth research on Asia's role in global design exchanges, and assist with editing transcripts, bibliographies, captions, and footnotes.
- Support the creation and coordination of multimedia materials and digital initiatives for the exhibition.
- Manage exhibition-related administrative tasks such as artifact lists, photo archiving, and documentation filing.
- Help organize and execute educational programs, lectures, and events tied to the exhibition.
- Aid in the development of the collection by assisting with acquisitions, documentation, and cataloguing.
- Perform additional research and collection-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements :
- Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Art/Design History, History, Anthropology, Museum/curatorial studies, Material culture studies, or a related discipline.
- Keen interest (preferably with research experience/knowledge) in 20th and 21st century design or in the history of design in Singapore and Asia region, with emphasis on contemporary practices
- Excellent organisational, project management, and communication skills with ability to conduct independent research with primary and secondary sources.
