Job Summary
This freelance on-site role in Singapore involves teaching Japanese to beginner and advanced adult learners, developing lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports to support effective language acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Teach Japanese language to adult learners at beginner and advanced levels to facilitate language proficiency development
- Design and implement lesson plans tailored to learners’ needs to enhance engagement and comprehension
- Develop assessments to evaluate learners’ progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Prepare progress reports to communicate learners’ achievements and areas for improvement
- Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with learners to foster a supportive learning environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficient Japanese language skills to deliver effective instruction and communication
- Experience teaching Japanese language to adult learners, demonstrating ability to adapt methods for diverse proficiency levels
- Ability to create effective lesson plans and assessments aligned with learning objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate learners
- Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language or a related field
- Teaching certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with Singaporean culture (preferred)
