Job Summary

This freelance on-site role in Singapore involves teaching Japanese to beginner and advanced adult learners, developing lesson plans, assessments, and progress reports to support effective language acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Teach Japanese language to adult learners at beginner and advanced levels to facilitate language proficiency development
• Design and implement lesson plans tailored to learners’ needs to enhance engagement and comprehension
• Develop assessments to evaluate learners’ progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Prepare progress reports to communicate learners’ achievements and areas for improvement
• Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with learners to foster a supportive learning environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficient Japanese language skills to deliver effective instruction and communication
• Experience teaching Japanese language to adult learners, demonstrating ability to adapt methods for diverse proficiency levels
• Ability to create effective lesson plans and assessments aligned with learning objectives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate learners
• Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language or a related field
• Teaching certification (preferred)
• Familiarity with Singaporean culture (preferred)
