CONSTRUCTION CARPENTER

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Construction Carpenter to carry out carpentry and formwork-related works at construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, cutting, assembling, installing and dismantling timber structures and formwork according to project requirements, drawings and site instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry and construction-related works at assigned project sites.
- Carry out timber formwork works for columns, beams, slabs, walls and other structural elements.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber, plywood and other materials according to required specifications.
- Read and understand basic construction drawings, measurements and site instructions.
- Install, erect, align and dismantle formwork safely and accurately.
- Construct temporary timber structures and supports where required.
- Ensure completed carpentry and formwork works meet the required dimensions, alignment and workmanship standards.
- Operate and maintain carpentry hand tools and power tools appropriately.
- Coordinate with supervisors, foremen and other construction workers to complete assigned works.
- Assist with material preparation, movement and housekeeping at the worksite.
- Follow all company Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and site safety procedures.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with instructions from site safety personnel.
- Carry out other construction or carpentry duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Relevant experience as a Construction Carpenter / Formwork Carpenter is preferred.
- Experience in timber formwork and general construction carpentry will be an advantage.
- Able to use common carpentry tools and equipment.
- Able to understand measurements and basic construction drawings.
- Physically able to perform construction-site duties.
- Able to work outdoors and in a construction-site environment.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a construction team.
- Willing to work at different project locations according to operational requirements.
- Responsible, hardworking and safety-conscious.
- Must comply with all applicable construction-site and workplace safety requirements.
Working Conditions
- Work will primarily be performed at construction sites.
- Working hours will be in accordance with the company's employment terms and applicable Singapore employment regulations.
- Overtime may be required depending on project and operational requirements.
