About Handshake
Handshake is a escrow payment platform built for renovation projects where all payments are fully regulated by the MAS. Homeowners deposit funds into a DBS custodian account at each milestone, and money is only released as work is completed - which means homeowners stay protected from rising pre-payment scams, and interior design firms stop chasing the final 5-10%, secure variation orders properly, and win client trust from the first meeting. We're partnered with top renovation marketplaces like Renonation.sg and Network, with more than 45 interior designers on board.
The product works and design firms across Singapore are already using it. The next job is getting it in front of every showroom on the island - that's where you come in.
The Role
You'll be our person on the ground with interior design showrooms across Singapore. This is direct, in-person outreach: walking into showrooms, introducing Handshake to owners and managers, and getting them interested enough to book a proper meeting with our team.
This is a field-based freelance role. There's no office to report to and you set your own schedule — but the work happens at showrooms, not at home.
What You'll Do
- Visit interior design showrooms and introduce Handshake to owners and decision-makers
- Explain our value proposition clearly and handle common objections
- Qualify interest and set meetings for the team
- Follow up with warm leads to move them toward onboarding
- Log activity and share what you're hearing on the ground so we can sharpen the pitch

What We're Looking For
- Strong spoken English and the ability to explain a new product simply and persuasively
- Ability to converse in Mandarin or Hokkien is an advantage, as a number of showroom owners prefer conversing in these languages
- Self-starting and comfortable with cold, in-person outreach and the rejection that comes with it
- Able to grasp a business proposition quickly and adapt the pitch to who's in front of you
- Reliable with follow-ups and honest about what's actually happening in the field
- No prior sales experience required — we'll train you on the playbook
Compensation
- Monthly base (discussed at interview)
- Performance bonus per deal closed (discussed at interview)
- Grab transport reimbursed for showroom visits
