Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly progress claims and payment-related documents.
- Perform project cost analysis, cost monitoring and budget tracking.
- Assist with procurement activities, including obtaining quotations and evaluating costs.
- Carry out quantity take-off and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).
- Review and study drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements.
- Coordinate and communicate with site project teams, supervisors, clients and contractors on project-related matters.
- Assist in monitoring project costs and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain proper records of project documentation, measurements and cost-related information.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably with building construction contractors.
- Knowledge of construction cost estimation, quantity take-off and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
- Familiarity with computerised estimating or quantity surveying software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and contracts.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with project teams, clients and contractors.
- Willingness to attend construction sites approximately once or twice a month as required by project needs.
