- To guarantee project completion on schedule, oversee and coordinate all shipyard steel production, sub-assembly, and block erection procedures.
- Create and execute effective steel production schedules in accordance with overarching goals.
- Verify that all steelworks adhere to client specifications, QA/QC criteria, and class society standards.
- To increase output and reduce waste, allocate resources—including labor, supplies, and machinery—as efficiently as possible.
- Collaborate closely with the HSE division to implement stringent safety procedures and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
- Oversee and assess the work of steel supervisors and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical, marine, or naval architecture.
- Minimum of eight to ten years of experience in a related managerial position in a shipyard.
