Job Responsibilities
Ø Administered,configured, and supported Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases acrossDevelopment, UAT, Staging, Disaster Recovery, and Production environments.
Ø Installed, configured,upgraded, migrated, and maintained SQL Server and PostgreSQL databaseenvironments.
Ø Designed, built, andmaintained Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end database deployments,including schema changes, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views,indexes, constraints, and rollback strategies.
Ø Planned, coordinated,and executed production database deployments while adhering to changemanagement processes and minimizing downtime.
Ø Designed and maintaineddatabase architecture, schemas, tables, constraints, indexes, storedprocedures, functions, triggers, views, and other database objects.
Ø Led SQL Server versionupgrades (Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition), including planning, testing,migration, rollback planning, and production cutover.
Ø Configured andadministered Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, including parameter groups, securityconfiguration, monitoring, backups, maintenance, and performance optimization.
Ø Configured and supportedSQL Server Transactional Replication for near real-time data synchronization.
Ø Administered SQL ServerFailover Cluster Instances (FCI), including shared storage management, clusterdrive configuration, failover testing, cluster monitoring, and highavailability support.
Ø Planned, implemented,and tested backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuitystrategies.
Ø Created and maintainedSQL Server Maintenance Plans, including automated backups, DBCC integritychecks, index maintenance, statistics updates, cleanup jobs, and scheduledmaintenance.
Ø Performed databaseperformance tuning, query optimization, execution plan analysis, indexoptimization, statistics management, blocking analysis, deadlocktroubleshooting, and capacity planning.
Ø Monitored databasehealth, storage utilization, replication, server performance, and proactivelyresolved production issues.
Ø Designed, developed, andsupported end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines for batch processing using SQL,SSIS, Python, Shell scripting, SQL Server Agent, and Windows Task Scheduler.
Ø Planned and executeddatabase migration projects, including schema migration, historical datamigration, and large-volume data loading.
Ø Performed SQL Serverpatching, cumulative updates (CU), security updates, and planned maintenanceactivities across Development, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.
Ø Provided staging,production, and weekend production support for mission-critical enterpriseapplications, ensuring high availability and business continuity.
Ø Collaborated withMicrosoft Level 4 Support Engineers to troubleshoot complex production issues,perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent solutions.
Ø Managed database useraccounts, logins, service accounts, roles, permissions, and Role-Based AccessControl (RBAC), ensuring compliance with security, audit, and User AccessManagement (UAM) policies.
Ø Conducted database riskassessments, audit compliance activities, security reviews, SSL certificateimplementation, database hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
Ø Reviewed, validated, andapproved database deployment scripts submitted by application teams, ensuringcompliance with security, performance, coding standards, and database bestpractices.
Ø Performed deploymentimpact analysis, release readiness assessments, rollback planning, andproduction implementation approvals.
