Love, Bonito is Southeast Asia’s leading womenswear brand, built with a mission to empower women to find confidence through style. Incorporated in 2010 in Singapore, we’ve since grown from a humble online startup into a multi-channel business with over 20 stores and counting across Asia and a thriving online presence.

The role

Step into a role where your ideas don’t just shape collections — they shape how women around the world feel, express themselves, and move through life with confidence.

As Fashion Designer at Love, Bonito, you’ll have a front-row seat to creating designs that resonate globally. From trend research and concept development to sketching, tech packs, fittings, and final execution, you’ll lead the end-to-end creation journey behind our collections and bring thoughtful, wearable fashion to life. Beyond designing beautiful pieces, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving our Design Department as we scale internationally — helping define the future of a brand that’s redefining fashion for Asian women globally.

Most importantly, this is an opportunity to be part of something bigger than fashion. You’ll help disrupt the consumer and retail landscape, and contribute to elevating Love, Bonito from one of Singapore’s most loved brands into a truly global women’s fashion powerhouse.

You should have / be

• A strong entrepreneurial spirit, self starter, extreme initiative and ownership
• A knack for problem solving with an ability to think ‘out of the box’; highly adaptable and flexible and ability to adjust and refine when the need arises
• A genuine curiosity to know how things work and how to make them better
• Solid technical know how
• A thoughtful and creative designer
• Solid design knowledge, sensibilities and ability to translate concept into execution
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead direction of a project across cross-functional teams.
• Effectively bilingual in Mandarin and English. Proficiency in Chinese is required for this role as you will need to be able to communicate effectively also to our suppliers in China.

Main responsibilities

Designing

• User-centric, thoughtful approach to gathering insights and solving for customer needs
• Understand the market, targeted customer personas, and good design principles through research, store visits and customer studies
• Create products that fulfill our brand mission of being modern, relatable, and of good quality & value
• A good eye for fashion, upcoming trends and spotting what resonates with consumers

Technical Development

• Produce technical drawings, with the ability to create detailed tech packs with accurate measurements
• Partner with other designers in creating seasonal color stories, initial fabric and trims selections
• Actively participate in fit sessions, working with live models and giving comments to suggest fit changes

Project Management

• Plan project timelines according to production and development days
• Track and monitor relevant product development calendars
• Maintain an organized archive of all tech packs and fit samples

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design minimally
• 1-2 years industry experiance in a fashion design / technical design role
• Or at least 3 years industry experience for Senior Designer
• International, overseas design experience is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of AI design tools is a plus
• An impressive portfolio which demonstrates creative, thoughtful design through a variety of projects
• Effectively bilingual in Mandarin and English. Proficiency in Chinese is required for this role as you will need to be able to communicate effectively to our suppliers in China.
