Job Descriptions:
- Provide safe, competent and individualised nursing care while maintaining nursing, documentation and infection-control standards.
- Assess and monitor patients, provide treatments and follow up on care plans and continuity of care .
- Perform nursing procedures such as oral/IM/SC medication administration, IV fluid changes, IV cannula removal and wound dressing , under Staff Nurse supervision where required.
- Communicate and build rapport with patients, families and caregivers , and liaise with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with palliative care and ensure patient safety and a conducive care environment.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation, records and data , while ensuring confidentiality.
- Manage and ensure proper use of medications, medical supplies, equipment and consumables .
- Support and guide Patient Care Assistants in patient care and management.
- Keep updated on industry practices and nursing skills , and contribute to continuous improvement in the workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
