Director, Pricing and Market Access (IT Software)

As a member of the Management Team, the Director is accountable for revenue growth, profitability, financial reporting, team development, and maintaining Company's reputation for excellence. The role requires a minimum 65% billable contribution, leading high-value client work while driving sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

. Provide overall leadership of Pricing and Market Access team

. Set and deliver the strategic direction of the business unit in alignment with company objectives

. Manage, develop and nurture a high-performance culture aligned to company values and focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence

. Lead recruitment, development, retention, and succession planning across the team working closely with the MISSION recruitment team

. Conduct performance appraisals (Room to Grow) and ensure structured professional development for all team members consulting staff at all levels

. Oversee resource planning to ensure optimal allocation and utilisation

. Work closely with The MISSION (Finance, People Team, IT, Legal, Compliance) to ensure operational effectiveness

. Liaise with Chief Executive where legal counsel and external advisors where required

. Hold full accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and financial performance

. Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and cost management.

Skills & Experience

Financial & Operational Accountability

. Ensure projects are delivered in a timely and profitable manner

. Monitor business performance metrics and take corrective action where necessary

. Maintain compliance with financial reporting, audit requirements, and company policies

. Develop and implement internal processes and tools to maintain operational efficiency and quality standards

Business Development & Brand Growth

. Lead business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market presence

. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring long-term retention of key accounts

. Build and enhance the Company brand in the pricing and market access space

. Identify and develop new service offerings that differentiate Company from competitors.

. Lead the RFI and RFP response process, including scoping, design, costing, and negotiation of fees and expenses

. Develop and manage supplier and cost-effective sub-contractor partnerships

. Serve as final signatory for supplier MSAs, Statements of Work, and invoice approvals

. Identify opportunities to leverage broader capabilities to increase revenue and profitability

Client Leadership & Strategy

. Act as senior lead on key client relationships, managing complex or sensitive discussions including scope changes and negotiations

. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention

. Provide strategic oversight and senior input across client engagements

. Develop high-level strategic recommendations and ensure quality of deliverables

Project Delivery (min 65% Billable Expectation)

. Lead and contribute to project delivery across multiple engagements

. Delegate project work appropriately based on team capability and development goals

. Ensure rigorous quality control across all outputs(reports, presentations, recommendations)

. Direct and review secondary research activities, when needed.

. Review and validate primary research materials

. Conduct senior-level stakeholder discussions where required

. Lead advisory boards, workshops, and training sessions, including preparation of strategic content

. Review and approve final reports and recommendations from meetings and research activities

Quality & Knowledge Management

. Establish and continuously improve quality assurance processes and standards

. Lead initiatives to enhance internal knowledge management systems

. Maintain deep subject-matter expertise and act as a recognised internal authority within a specific market or discipline

. Ensure insights and learnings are effectively shared across the organisation

Compliance & Governance

. Develop and uphold company policies, ensuring adherence across the business

. Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements

. Maintain appropriate oversight of contractual, financial, and operational governance
