Station Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Achieve marketing objectives established within the allocated resources
Manage the recruitment, training, deployment and supervision of station employees
Responsible for smooth and efficient running of the daily operations
Enforcing standards and safeguarding the integrity of the company
Responding to feedback and customer complaints.
Achieve profitability through exercising cost control.
Communicate with station employees on operational and other station related matters
Plan and manage the roster, time off
Train and develop staff on standards of performance, appearance and behaviour at all times.
Assist in providing administrative support e.g. update inventory, ordering
Ensure all station employees provide the required standard of customer service and follow workplace health and safety guidelines
Ensure station is adequately staffed during shift and notify HR of any manpower shortage
Manpower planning. Ensuring sufficient staffing for Daily Operations (Weekly duty roster & Daily station plan)
Actively involved in recruitment process by identifying and selecting candidates for operational staff
Actively involved in staff counselling and propose to management on course of disciplinary action, including but not limited to termination of employment
Ensure all station operations comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental policies
Monitor the performance of service staff and contractors, vendors, service providers and tenants
Conduct daily briefing and carry out daily planning
Manage and preserve financial, merchandise and other assets of the station
Review and monitor on station’s financial related matters including monitoring competitive and other market trends and activities
Review Daily Log Book and Conduct daily check and station inspection to ensure proper working condition of equipment
Ensuring parameters of station is clean and proper at all times
Ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met by providing an efficient and professional service as well as resolving potential service failure with tact and diplomacy
Oversee stations and recommend improvements to Manager where appropriate
Job Requirements:
Fluent in spoken and written English
Degree or diploma holder in business, operations or retail management
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; able to build lasting relationships with customers
Basic competency in IT
Possess good initiative and leadership skills, lead by example
Minimum 3 years managerial experience in retail petrol station
Energetic and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate staff effectively towards achieving excellent customer care standards and sales targets
