Nurse Manager

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to assist our Matron in ensuring the smooth operation of our Home while maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance with government regulations. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents and support our caregiving team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Matron in ensuring the smooth operation of the home, maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance with government regulations. Oversee a team of registered and enrolled nurses, nursing aides, healthcare assistants. This may include oversight of multi-disciplinary care providers such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, medical social workers and others.
Leadership Management
. Responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and evaluating the resident's care activities and provide supervision ensure delivery of competent, safe and quality nursing care rendered at all times.
Quality and Patient Safety
Responsible for compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by MSF, MOH, SG Enable and Singapore Nursing Board
Lead quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
Ensure quality audits are planned and conducted periodically. Follow up with areas for corrective improvements
Promote evidence-based practices or nursing care delivery
Ensure written policies and procedures and work process are available and up to date to guide the nursing care delivery
Care Delivery
. Direct care of the residents to ensure compliance to standards.
. Ensure the safe storage, packing and administration of medication in compliance with safety standards.
. Support the implementation of policies and practices to maintain high standards of care and operational excellence.
Staff Resources
. Ensure appropriate skills mix and adequate manpower resourcing for all shifts and types of services
. Plan, organize and oversee the work assignments of the nursing and caregiving team to ensure optimal workflow.
Staff Development
. Direct and facilitate staff development, skills and competency upgrading through various opportunities. These may include formal education, in-house training or approved online learning programmes.
. Guide orientation/induction programmes and preceptorship for all new staff
Others
. Assist Matron to coordinate, conduct and monitor clinical and service quality performance indicators for continuous improvement.
. Support the Matron and deputize in her absence.
. Participate nursing activities/events and committees as assigned by Matron.
