Job Description

- Position Title: Contract / Commercial Manager (Construction)
- Working Location: West – Pioneer
- Working Hours: 5 days / Mon-Fri: 8.30am-6pm
- Salary Package: Up to SGD 10,000 + Variable bonus (min. 1 month)
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and agreements with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Ensure full compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and legal obligations
- Keep contract documents and related correspondence current and well-organized.
- Identify, prepare, and submit claims, variations, and extension-of-time requests
- Negotiate claim and variation settlements with clients and subcontractors.
- Track cost performance to safeguard project profitability
- Evaluate contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advise project teams on contractual rights, duties, and liabilities
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders on contract matters.
- Support project managers in resolving commercial and contractual issues
- Hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep execution aligned
- Prepare periodic contract management reports for management review
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, claims, and disputes

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or related field
- Min. 8 years of experience in contract management in road construction, civil works, and/or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in claims preparation, dispute resolution, and cost control
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office, contract management software, and project documentation tools
