In this role, you will help to scale Google Pay India to 400M users and beyond by building a high performing, secure, and robust client foundation. You will take end-to-end ownership of the core architecture, release systems, and developer ecosystem that power our entire Flutter application

Qualifications

Job responsibilities

• Design core application architectures, optimize critical app health metrics (such as Application-Not-Responding, startup latency, app size, memory usage, and frame rates), and build secure platform integration layers.
• Build and maintain release pipelines, automated testing infrastructure, and developer tools, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solutions to automate diagnostics, optimize workflows, and boost overall developer velocity.
• Collaborate with executive engineers, Product Managers, User Experience (UX), and other teams (like Photos and Gmail intelligence teams) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Work with technologies such as Dart, Flutter, Android, iOS, Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, and build/automation tools.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Experience with mobile experience (e.g., Android, iOS or Flutter development).

Preferred qualifications

• Experience optimizing and scaling client systems for applications serving millions of active users.
• Mobile app development experience (e.g., Android, iOS, or Flutter) with a strong focus on client infrastructure, performance profiling, or developer tooling.
• Working effectively with feature teams and cross-functional partners (e.g., Security, Release, Product) to drive architectural and platform initiatives end-to-end.
