Responsibilities
- Translate Japanese product labels, specifications, and related documents into English.
- Maintain and update product master data, purchasing records, and product information databases.
- Verify product details, including ingredients, nutritional information, packaging specifications, and other product-related information.
- Assist in reviewing regulatory requirements and compliance documentation for food products.
- Prepare, maintain, and organise import and export documentation.
- Coordinate with overseas offices, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding product information and documentation.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and related documentation.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Purchasing team.
Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or a related discipline .
- Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and understand Japanese documents and product labels.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formula functions.
- Previous administrative experience is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the food industry, trading, or import/export operations is an added advantage.
