Account Clerk

We are seeking an individual with strong command of English and experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of insurance and corporate matters, enabling them to effectively communicate with relevant stakeholders.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in processing invoices, purchase orders, and reconciliation tasks.
• Communication Skills: Ability to draft clear and professional correspondence (e.g., memos, client letters).
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, including maintaining records and tracking documentation like insurance policies or BCA licenses.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies in accounts, invoices, or statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook, especially for documentation and reporting purposes.

Technical Competencies:

• Accounting Software: Hands-on experience with software used for accounts payable and financial management.
• Knowledge of Taxation and Regulations: Understanding of local taxation rules, vendor contract management, and business compliance standards.
• Insurance and Licensing Knowledge: Familiarity with handling insurance policies (e.g., vehicle, public liability) and managing licenses like BCA and SAC Singlas.

• Team-Oriented: Works well in a collaborative team setting, supporting both administrative and financial teams
• Adaptability: Comfortable with adjusting to changing company needs and regulations.

Education:

• Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable, finance, or administrative roles.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB) is preferred.
• Experience with insurance management, client correspondence, or BCA license management is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:

• Language: Proficiency in English (both written and verbal). Additional languages may be an advantage.
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the relevant location.
