About The Role
We are seeking a creative
Video Editor to be part of our post-production efforts and elevate overall content quality across organic, promotional and advertising projects.
In this role, you will edit engaging video content and assist with production. The ideal candidate is a skilled visual storyteller who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment and is passionate about delivering high-standard work.
What You Will Do
- Edit and produce engaging video content for internal channels, social media platforms, and client campaigns.
- Handle various aspects of post-production, including video editing, colour correction, audio mixing, subtitling, and basic motion graphics.
- Assist in video production when required, including filming, equipment setup, and on-set support.
- Collaborate with producers and creative teams to ensure videos align with creative briefs, brand guidelines, and project objectives.
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining content quality.
- Review and implement feedback from internal stakeholders and clients promptly and accurately.
- Liaise with clients when required, maintaining clear communication and positive working relationships.
- Coordinate with freelance editors alongside supervisors to ensure deliverables meet production timelines and quality standards.
- Stay updated on social media trends, editing techniques, and emerging video formats to enhance content quality.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required in a dynamic production environment, including assisting with equipment handling and production logistics.
The Successful Candidate Should Have
- 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in video editing, bonus if you have production experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with knowledge of After Effects and DaVinci Resolve being an advantage.
- A strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
- Proven track record of editing scripted or narrative content (micro-drama experience is a strong plus).
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality edits in terms of visuals, audio, subtitles, and graphics.
- Good communication skills and the ability to understand and implement feedback effectively.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to different creative directions.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a fast-paced production environment.
