Job Description

- Position Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
- Working Location: Tuas
- Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon - Fri, 8.00am - 7.00pm; Sat, 8.00am - 12.00pm)
- Salary Package: Basic salary up to $4,800 + Allowance + Variable Bonus
- Duration: Permanent Role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve mechanical systems for battery handling, charging, and swapping
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical parts
- Choose, order, and buy needed mechanical parts and machines
- Set up and follow maintenance schedules to keep equipment running well
- Make sure all designs follow safety and industry rules
- Apply safety rules for staff and equipment
- Inspect and test mechanical systems to make sure they work properly
- Find and fix mechanical problems
- Work with other teams and project managers to plan and complete projects
- Give advice on mechanical engineering for project planning
- Handle electrical and hydraulic problems
- Repair rotary drilling rigs

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience in maintenance work
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering basics
- Skilled in using CAD software
- Understanding of rotary drilling rig functionality is advantageous
