As the Principal, Production Technical Support under the Process and Project Engineering Dept , you will be primarily responsible for managing technical projects focused on process control, optimization, environment, and quality assurance. You will develop innovative solutions, ensure compliance with standards, and support process improvements.

In thisrole, a typical day will include:

• Lead strategic CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning, validation, and operational handover, ensuring delivery on scope, budget, and timelines.
• Develop and execute engineering and process technology roadmaps to support capacity expansion, process capability, and business growth.
• Serve as the site process engineering SME for aseptic manufacturing, compounding, filling, packaging, and inspection operations.
• Drive operational excellence through process optimization, OEE improvement, yield enhancement, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead complex process investigations, root cause analysis, CAPAs, and implementation of sustainable engineering solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for equipment, facility, utilities, automation, and process control system upgrades.
• Support technology transfers, process validation, manufacturing readiness, and lifecycle management programs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Automation, Utilities, and Global Engineering teams to achieve site objectives.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, technical documentation, process specifications, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reliability.
• Monitor project and manufacturing performance, manage risks, and ensure audit and inspection readiness.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent while fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

What You'llBring to Alcon

· Degree in Engineering or scientific field

· Min 8 years of relevant end to end experience project management in process engineering field in pharmaceutical/medical field

· Brings along past experience in troubleshooting process issues and validation experience will be required
