Assistant Tax Manager (10k/5 days)

Responsibilities:
- Oversee tax compliance for both domestic and foreign entities, which involves working with external tax advisors to draft, examine, and submit direct and indirect tax returns.
- Support the drafting, review, and external coordination of the group's transfer pricing documentation and Country-by-Country Reporting, ensuring adherence to guidelines and local statutory requirements.
- Draft, verify, and lodge indirect tax filings for all local and overseas subsidiaries.
- Compile and assess recurring current and deferred tax provisions for both domestic and international operations.
- Communicate with tax authorities regarding assessments, appeals, audits, or investigations as needed.
- Assist with the statutory financial audit process and the preparation of audited financial statements.
- Scrutinize contracts and agreements, providing tax-related advice or flagging potential tax implications in response to ad-hoc inquiries.
- Participate in tax-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Take primary responsibility for managing all tax compliance matters.
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties and tasks as reasonably required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required, along with recognized professional credentials such as the Accredited Tax Practitioner(Income Tax)
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience is expected, including at least 3 years specifically in transfer pricing—ideally gained within an international multinational corporation (MNC).
- A solid working knowledge of transfer pricing principles is essential.
- Proficiency in Oracle, HFM, and OA systems is necessary for handling routine operational tasks.
- Candidates must have comprehensive expertise in US GAAP, along with strong command of MS Excel, MS Word, and the ability to deliver effective presentations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are a must, coupled with a genuine commitment to producing high-quality outcomes.
