Manager, Outreach

We are looking for a creative, driven, and resourceful Manager, Outreach, who will sit within the Branding, Campaigns and Outreach time, to join us. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in growing brand love and awareness for SPH Media and its stable of 40 brands through large-scale community and mass outreach events.

You will focus on identifying high-impact event opportunities (with 10,000 in footfall and above), curating engaging brand presences, shaping our corporate brand narrative, and actively growing our Friends of SPH Media community through these outreach and engagement events and / or strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Mass Outreach Event Strategy & Execution

• Identify & Evaluate Opportunities: Proactively scout, evaluate, and secure strategic event partnerships and activation opportunities at high-footfall mass events (e.g., major public festivals, lifestyle expos, national/community celebrations) with footfalls in the tens of thousands.
• End-to-End Execution: Lead the planning, project management, physical setup, and onsite execution of SPH Media's experiential booths/presences. Ensure seamless logistics, vendor management, and strict adherence to timelines and budgets.

Brand Curation & Narrative Storytelling

• Corporate Brand Narrative: Translate SPH Media’s core values, mission, and storytelling into engaging physical and interactive experiences that resonate with a mass public audience.
• Sub-Brand & Portfolio Curation: Strategically curate and manage which SPH Media publications, newsrooms and products are featured at specific events to optimise relevance and audience engagement, as well as grow brand affinity.
• Creative Activation: Work with internal creative, content, and marketing teams to produce compelling visual assets, gamified opportunities, and promotional materials that showcase the breadth and depth of SPH Media and its brands.
• Brand Custodianship: Support brand custodianship by ensuring all event assets, corporate kits, and collaterals align with SPH Media brand guidelines.

Community Growth & "Friends of SPH Media" Acquisition

• Lead Generation & Onboarding: Design and implement seamless onsite sign-up strategies and incentives to convert event visitors into active members of the Friends of SPH Media community.
• Audience Engagement: Drive brand affinity and post-event engagement by crafting memorable visitor touchpoints, loyalty mechanics, and follow-up communication journeys in collaboration with Digital and Branding and Campaigns teams. Existing distribution channels include the Friends of SPH Community webpage in the SPH Media corporate website, as well as a regular newsletter.
• Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and analyse key performance metrics (event footfall engagement, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, community growth) to continuously refine future outreach strategies.

Who are we looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Corporate Marketing, Branding, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience in event management, experiential marketing, brand activation, or community engagement. Experience in executing activations at large-scale, mass public events strongly preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors, agencies, cross-functional stakeholders, and onsite event crews effectively.
• Keen eye for design, spatial experience, and creative messaging. Ability to translate corporate narratives into relatable consumer-facing activities.
• Familiarity with event lead-capture tools, digital engagement activations, and basic CRM/community-building tactics.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in an additional language is an advantage to engage with Singapore's multicultural audience.
• Proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working hands-on on the ground during events (including occasional weekends/evenings as required by event schedules).
• Highly organised, adaptable, tenacious, and able to manage competing priorities and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. A strong growth mindset is key.
