Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the TEKLA modelling and drafting team for precast concrete projects.
- Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure timely completion of drawings and modelling deliverables.
- Prepare detailed precast concrete shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and general arrangement drawings using TEKLA Structures software.
- Develop accurate 3D models for precast structural components based on approved construction drawings and engineering specifications.
- Review and verify drawings and models prepared by team members to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, production teams, consultants, and site personnel to resolve technical and detailing issues.
- Produce reinforcement detailing, embedment layouts, lifting accessories, and connection details for precast components.
- Ensure all drawings and models comply with Singapore BCA standards, project specifications, and company drafting procedures.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve modelling conflicts during project execution.
- Revise and update drawings according to consultant comments, site conditions, and design changes.
- Generate material quantity take-offs, casting schedules, and production-related documentation from TEKLA models.
- Liaise closely with production and installation teams to ensure smooth fabrication and erection of precast elements.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to junior modellers and drafters.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all drawings, revisions, and project records.
- Assist management in improving modelling standards, workflows, productivity, and drafting efficiency within the department.
- Attend coordination meetings and provide technical support during project discussions when required.
Requirements
- Proficient in TEKLA Structures software.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in precast concrete detailing and modelling.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of structural and architectural drawings.
- Familiar with Singapore construction practices and BCA requirements.
- Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
