Our client, a renowned building & construction firm, has an opportunity for a Winner to join the Team as a Contracts Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the full spectrum of contract administration and commercial activities for building and/or civil construction projects
- Review tender and contract documents, specifications, drawings and contractual requirements
- Handle pre-contract and post-contract activities, including tendering, cost estimation, procurement, contract administration and final accounts
- Prepare, evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations, tenders and contract awards
- Manage progress claims, variation orders, cost claims, Extension of Time (EOT) and other contractual matters
- Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify potential contractual and commercial risks and advise the project team on appropriate mitigation measures
- Assess and certify subcontractor progress claims, variations and final accounts
- Prepare and submit claims and supporting documentation to clients and consultants
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant contracts / quantity surveying experience within the construction industry
- Prior experience with a main contractor is highly preferred
