Trainee Fuel Testing Laboratory Technician

Job Description:
- Assist in performing testing of marine fuels, lubricating oils, and other petroleum products in accordance with ISO, ASTM, and other relevant international standard test methods.
- Carry out daily quality control checks and maintain laboratory data records and worksheets.
- Work closely with Laboratory Technicians in the development of testing procedures, operational protocols, and in-house methods.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and housekeeping of chemicals and glassware, and assist in maintaining laboratory and testing equipment.
- Support procurement activities by liaising with suppliers on purchasing matters when required.
- Ensure laboratory safety procedures and equipment are properly maintained and comply with required standards.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level, ITE or equivalent qualification.
- Fresh candidates with no prior experience are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in a testing laboratory, within the Oil & Gas industry, will be considered an added advantage.
- Willing to learn, take responsibility, and work independently to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work beyond office hours when required.
- A strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
