Infrastructure Advisory (Infratech, Project Advisory & Decarb), Associate

KPMG's Infrastructure Advisory team supports governments, developers, investors, asset owners and operators across the entire infrastructure lifecycle. We advise clients on complex infrastructure, energy transition and decarbonisation challenges, helping them make better investment decisions, deliver major projects successfully and create long-term value from infrastructure assets. 

 
As an Associate, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of infrastructure, engineering, sustainability, strategy and finance professionals to deliver high-impact projects across Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region. You will contribute to engagements spanning infrastructure strategy, business cases, project development, sustainability and decarbonisation, asset management, and transformation initiatives.

 

The Role:

Advisory Delivery

• Support the delivery of complex infrastructure and capital project advisory engagements across sectors such as transport, energy, utilities, digital infrastructure, real estate and the built environment.
• Conduct research, analysis and financial or commercial assessments to support strategic infrastructure planning and investment decisions.
• Develop business cases, feasibility studies, market analyses, policy reviews and implementation roadmaps.
• Support project management and coordination activities across multi-stakeholder engagements.
• Prepare high-quality client deliverables, presentations, reports and proposal materials.

Sustainability and Decarbonisation

• Contribute to sustainability, climate and decarbonisation advisory projects, including emissions assessments, decarbonisation roadmaps and transition planning.
• Support clients in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and strengthen climate resilience.
• Analyse industry trends, regulatory developments and sustainability reporting requirements relevant to infrastructure and asset-intensive sectors.
• Assist clients in evaluating emerging technologies and low-carbon solutions across infrastructure value chains.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with clients, government agencies, investors, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews and working sessions to gather insights and validate recommendations.
• Build strong internal and external relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

Team and Practice Development

• Support proposal development, market research and thought leadership activities.
• Coach and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Infrastructure Advisory practice through innovation and knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in consulting, infrastructure, engineering, project management, sustainability, government advisory or related fields.
• Experience working on infrastructure, capital projects, energy transition, sustainability or decarbonisation initiatives will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with infrastructure sectors such as transport, energy, utilities, digital infrastructure or the built environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex information and develop practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to synthesize and translate complex data and information into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience coordinating across multiple teams and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and relevant data analysis tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Knowledge of, or a demonstrated interest in, sustainability, climate risk, energy transition, and decarbonisation.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
