Head of Human Resources

On behalf of our client in the engineering sector, we are seeking a talented and dynamic Head of Human Resources . Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the HR function to support rapid business growth, elevate employee engagement, and drive organizational effectiveness. The ideal leader is passionate about organizational transformation and people development. As an agile team player with exceptional senior stakeholder management skills, you will translate broad strategic business objectives into impactful HR solutions that accelerate growth.

HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic HR Leadership

• Develop and implement HR strategies that support the overall business goals of the group to fit the transformation and value creation agenda of the business.
• Exhibit strong business partnering role with business through collaboration with senior management to identify HR needs and develop solutions to drive profitable growth.

2. Talent Acquisition and Management

• Oversee recruitment processes to attract and retain top talent across the organization.
• Implement and manage talent management programs, including succession planning and career development initiatives to enable continuous upgrade of talent capital within the group.

3. Employee Relations

• Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.

4. Performance Management

• Develop and manage performance appraisal systems that drive employee performance and accountability.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and employee development.

5. Training and Development

• Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
• Promote continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

6. Compensation and Benefits

• Oversee the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
• Conduct market research to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and retaining talent.

7. HR Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations across all jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that mitigate risk and promote best practices.

8. Merger and Acquisition

• Support pre-deal human capital due diligence including collaborating with external vendors where appropriate.
• Lead post-acquisition integration of Human Resources workstream including harmonization of compensation benefits, talent readiness assessments, talent acquisition/retire etc.

9. HR Metrics and Reporting

• Analyse HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and make data- driven decisions eg, internal succession planning, attrition rate, lead time to fill positions etc.
• Digitize manual processes (including onboarding, offboarding, new employee orientation etc) and leveraging HR technology to maximize operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 to 15 years of progressive HR experience, with proven track record in a senior HR leadership role.
• Strong full-spectrum HR experience, including talent management, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, HR compliance, workforce planning, and HR transformation .
• Prior experience in manufacturing, precision engineering, industrial, ormulti-site business environments is highly preferred.
• Experience in M&A due diligence, post-acquisition HR integration, organization restructuring, or transformation projects will be an advantage.
• Strong business partnering experience with CEO, senior management, and functional leaders.
• Strong understanding of employment laws, HR governance, and regional HR practices.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to use HR data to support business decisions.
• Excellent communication, influencing, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
