MARKETING ASSISTANT

Job Description
Assist in planning, setting up and managing SEM campaigns, primarily Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max and other campaign types as required).
Assist with keyword research, ad copy preparation, audience targeting and campaign account structure.
Monitor campaign performance and assist with routine adjustments to improve leads, conversions and overall campaign performance.
Support communication with clients through email, phone calls and video meetings to understand their business objectives, marketing requirements and concerns.
Assist in translating client requirements into practical digital marketing activities and campaign recommendations.
Prepare campaign performance reports and assist in presenting key results, observations and next steps to clients.
Respond to routine client enquiries and follow up on campaign-related matters under the guidance of senior team members.
Coordinate with internal teams, including design, web, content and account management, to support campaign execution and meet project timelines.
Assist with SEO activities such as keyword research, on-page optimisation, content recommendations and performance tracking.
Conduct basic market and competitor research to support digital marketing campaigns and client proposals.
Assist with preparing marketing materials, presentations and campaign-related documents when required.
Keep up to date with Google Ads platform updates, digital advertising trends and relevant industry developments.
Provide general support to the marketing team in carrying out digital marketing campaigns, administrative tasks and other marketing activities as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
At least 1 year of relevant experience in digital marketing, SEM, Google Ads or a related field is preferred.
Basic working knowledge of Google Ads and digital advertising platforms.
Familiarity with Google Analytics, and conversion tracking is an advantage.
Basic understanding of keyword research, campaign optimisation and digital marketing performance metrics.
Able to analyse basic campaign data and assist in identifying areas for improvement.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Able to communicate professionally with clients and internal team members.
Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Willing to learn and able to follow instructions while gradually taking on greater responsibilities.
Able to work effectively in a team and coordinate with different departments.
Proactive in following up on assigned tasks and resolving routine issues.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Willing to support occasional urgent campaign updates or client requests outside normal working hours when required.
