Data Quality Analyst Assistant

JHC Consulting is currently advising a Singaporean financial services provider as they manage a significant expansion of their regional operations. To support this specific mandate, we are seeking a Data Quality Analyst Assistant to join our practice. This is a permanent, full-time position conducted on a fully remote basis. In this role, your primary task is the scrutiny of information that informs our counsel to the client's board and leadership teams. We operate on the foundational belief that writing is thinking. Consequently, your work will not involve the creation of slide decks or attendance at typical corporate ceremonies, but will instead focus on the rigorous analysis of data that results in clear, authored memoranda.

The Role

The primary focus of this position is the verification and analysis of datasets related to the expansion projects of our client. You will spend your time reading internal reports, checking data integrity, and identifying gaps in the information provided. Every day, you will be expected to synthesize complex information into brief, precise internal notes. You will assist our principals by tracing every data point back to its source, ensuring that the assumptions used in our strategic counsel are original and verified. Because the firm avoids the use of presentations, your ability to communicate findings through plain, direct prose is the most important part of your daily work. You will also be responsible for maintaining organized digital records of your analysis to support the drafting of final memoranda.

What You Bring

We are looking for individuals who possess an undergraduate degree in a field that requires high levels of analytical discipline, such as economics, finance, mathematics, or the social sciences. As this is an entry level role, we do not require a long history of professional experience, but we do require intellectual maturity and a high standard of written English. You should have a basic understanding of how to interpret data sets and a healthy skepticism toward unverified claims. A working knowledge of common analytical tools, such as spreadsheet software, is necessary to perform the technical aspects of the role. Most importantly, you must be a person who prefers the quiet discipline of reading and writing over the noise of constant meetings. The ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines without reminders is essential.
