Sales Executive/ Business Development (FMCG)

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, supermarkets, convenience stores, and other corporate customers.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
  • Promote and sell the company's FMCG product portfolio to existing and prospective customers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand market needs and recommend suitable product offerings.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and promotional plans.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and new market opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners.
  • Manage customer accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
  • Negotiate pricing, trade promotions, commercial terms, and sales agreements.
  • Follow up on enquiries, quotations, and customer orders while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfilment, delivery, and customer support.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and provide excellent after-sales service.

Market Expansion

  • Collaborate with management to identify new sales channels and business expansion opportunities.
  • Develop new distribution networks and strengthen existing retail partnerships.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, networking events, and industry activities to promote the company's products and brand.

Reporting & Performance

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market updates for management.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account performance.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs while contributing to the company's overall growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Experience managing retail, wholesale, or distribution channels is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
