Role Overview
We are looking for a Market Risk Controller Contractor to support the Market & Liquidity Risk team in the day-to-day monitoring and control of market risk.
This role offers strong exposure to market risk management, risk systems, regulatory projects, data analysis and Treasury & Markets , making it suitable for candidates looking to build or deepen their experience in banking risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily market risk monitoring and control activities .
- Review risk reports and assist with risk governance processes.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for market risk projects, system enhancements and regulatory initiatives.
- Perform market risk data analysis and research to support risk assessments and management reporting.
- Investigate data-quality issues and work with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports and presentation materials.
- Support process-improvement initiatives relating to market risk monitoring and reporting.
- Work closely with Risk Management and Treasury & Markets stakeholders.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python or data analytics tools would be an advantage.
- Prior exposure to financial markets, treasury or risk management would be beneficial, but is not mandatory.
