Job Description
- Monitor and optimise database performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and manage database security measures to safeguard sensitive financial data.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including backups and recovery operations.
- Collaborate with the technology team to design and implement database solutions for new projects.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations and processes.
- Assist in database migration and upgrade activities as required.
- Stay updated on the latest database technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Database Administrator should have:
- A strong understanding of database management systems and related technologies.
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimisation techniques.
- Knowledge of database security best practices and backup strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team within a technology-driven environment.
