APEX’s clearing house, APEX Clear, offers clearing and settlement services to support the products listed on APEX.
Job Description
The candidate will head up the Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Department of APEX .
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Report directly to APEX’s Chief Executive Officer and Board on all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters
- Oversee legal, board secretariat and compliance matters. Maintain the relevant frameworks and policies to support these work
- Oversee the frontline regulatory functions, namely (i) Member Admission and Supervision (including on-site inspections), and (ii) Market Surveillance. Maintain the relevant frameworks, policies and trading / clearing rules to support these functions.
- Communicate with the Monetary Authority of Singapore on all regulatory and compliance matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above from reputable educational institutions
- Legal training is preferred but not a must
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in financial industry regulation with good knowledge in the futures industry
- Good knowledge of the Securities and Futures Act
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skill, interpersonal skill, and ability to communicate effectively with senior management, board directors and peers
- Strong integrity and work ethics
- Proficient in both English and Mandarin with oral, written and presentation abilities, to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
