Warehouse Assistant

About the role We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join the team at Maison 21G. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities, supporting the efficient movement of goods and maintaining the highest standards of organisation and safety. This position is essential to our logistics operations and directly contributes to our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation to ensure accuracy
• Organise and store goods in designated warehouse locations using appropriate storage methods to maintain order
• Pick and pack items accurately according to order specifications and prepare them for dispatch
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts and audits to support inventory control
• Keep the warehouse environment clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
• Load vehicles with goods and secure shipments to prevent damage during transit
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily targets and deadlines
• Identify and report any damage, discrepancies, or safety hazards to management promptly

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trolleys safely
• Strong physical fitness to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
• Relevant safety certifications or willingness to obtain them
