Associate Engineer

The candidate will assume a meaningful role in ensuring the safety of industrial electrical and electronics products. Through the role, he/she will gain a comprehensive understanding on existing test procedures required of the products and acquire stakeholder management skills through liaison with vendors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and evaluate environmental (climatic) tests of industrial electrical and electronic products in accordance to international standards
Ensure testing is done in compliant to safety guidelines and completed on schedule in accordance to client’s requirements
Prepare test and inspection reports
Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements
Coordinate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects
Undertake process improvement projects on testing facilities and services
Maintain and upkeep test facilities and equipment
Participate in local and overseas site works including site assessment, survey, inspection, testing and commissioning as required by projects
Overtime and shift work may be required on project basis

Key Requirements:

Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or its equivalent. Fresh diploma graduates are welcome to apply.
Results and service-oriented individual who possesses initiative and good communication skills
Proactive team player with the ability to work independently in challenging projects and timelines
Self-motivated and resourceful with a "can-do" attitude
May be required to be stationed in external local / overseas laboratories
