The Salvation Army, Singapore - Peacehaven Nursing Home

With a capacity of around 430 beds, Peacehaven provides compassionate, individualized, holistic care to all without discrimination. We offer a comprehensive gamut of services to care for the sick, frail and elderly who have physical or mental disabilities with minimal or no appropriate caregiver support at home.

Peacehaven has also been awarded the bizSAFE level 4 status which affirms our commitment to safety and health standards at the workplace.

DESIGNATION : Operations Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Assistant shall support the Senior / Executive, Operations to ensure the smooth daily running of the Kitchen, Laundry, and General Logistic Support within the Nursing Home.

A. Laundry

Collect and distribute linens
Handle and treat soiled and infectious linens safely
Ensure safe and proper handling of washers, dryers, and chemicals
Fold cleaned linens
Report any maintenance issues within the Laundry Area to Senior / Executive, Operations
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Perform general cleaning at the end of each day
Assist with laundry counts and audits

B . Kitchen

Wash and clean of kitchen equipment
Wash, cut and prepare food
Delivery of items (e.g., Food) to and from the Wards
Perform any other tasks related to the kitchen and laundry operations, including area cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications & Requirements

Able to communicate in basic English.
Food Safety Officer Course Level 1 preferred
Prior experience in Kitchen and Laundry operations preferred.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Able to work independently and multitask in a dynamic environment.
