Job Description Job Title Distribution Underwriter, Property & Casualty (Executive) We are seeking a Distribution Underwriter to join our Property & Casualty (P&C) business. This role combines technical underwriting expertise with business development responsibilities, supporting profitable growth through our intermediary channels including brokers and agents. You will play a key role in evaluating risks, structuring insurance solutions, and strengthening distribution partnerships, while ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards in Singapore. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a profitable portfolio of business across assigned distribution channels, build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries
- Assess and underwrite new and renewal Property & Casualty risks within delegated authority
- Evaluate risk exposures using underwriting tools, claims data, and financial information
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across P&C product lines
- Participate in meetings, client engagements, and marketing initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Provide market feedback and support product enhancements
- Contribute to business planning and strategic initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related discipline
- 0–3 years of experience in general insurance (fresh graduates with internships may be considered)
- Basic knowledge of P&C insurance products
- Good understanding of the Singapore insurance market and regulatory environment
- Professional certifications such as Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) qualifications or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certifications are advantageous
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
