We are representing our client in the Aerospace industry to hire for a Commodity Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, develop and execute sourcing strategy for raw metals, castings, forgings, machined components, fabricated parts, and engineered assemblies across Asia.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Drive supplier performance in quality, delivery, cost, and capacity.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams on sourcing, NPI, and productivity projects.
- Mitigate supply risks and support supply continuity through supplier development and market analysis.
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Proven experience in commodity/category management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of raw materials, metalworking, machining, fabrication, casting, or forging supply chains .
- Track record of supplier negotiations, cost savings, and supplier performance management.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience managing suppliers across Asia preferred.
- Business travel required up to 15-25%
