Job Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and cook daily meals according to required menus and dietary preferences.
- Select and prepare fresh ingredients while ensuring food quality and consistency.
- Manage food preparation, cooking, portioning and presentation.
- Plan menus and make adjustments based on dietary requirements and preferences.
- Monitor food inventory and coordinate the purchase of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment and food preparation areas.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Minimise food wastage and manage ingredients efficiently.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or replacement requirements.
- Perform other kitchen and food preparation duties as required.
Requirements
- Relevant experience as a Chef or in a similar cooking role.
- Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Able to prepare a variety of Chinese and Asian dishes.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food-handling practices.
- Able to work independently and manage daily kitchen operations.
- Responsible, organised and attentive to cleanliness and food quality.
- Able to accommodate different dietary requirements and preferences.
