Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day purchasing activities and procurement of materials, supplies and other company requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, availability and delivery requirements.
- Request and compare quotations and negotiate with suppliers where required.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) and maintain proper purchasing documentation.
- Follow up closely with suppliers on order status and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure materials and supplies are delivered according to operational requirements.
- Monitor outstanding orders and resolve delivery, quantity or quality discrepancies with suppliers.
- Maintain and update supplier information, pricing and purchasing records.
- Assist with inventory and purchasing-related administrative duties when required.
- Perform other procurement-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing or supply chain will be advantageous.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable handling purchasing documentation.
- Organised, responsible and able to follow up independently.
- Candidates without extensive experience but with a willingness to learn may also be considered.
