Smart Home Sales Designer

Job Function: Drive sales and design smart home solutions for residential clients, blending consultative selling with technical solution design.
Scope of Work: Sales (70%) / Solution Design (30%)
We are seeking a results-driven Smart Home Sales Designer to generate new business and deliver tailored smart home solutions to residential clients. This role combines sales acumen with technical design skills, covering lighting, automation, and security systems — from first client contact through to project handover.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Engagement
- Generate and manage leads through self-sourcing and company-provided channels
- Conduct client consultations and site visits to understand needs and space requirements
- Prepare and present tailored proposals
- Close sales and manage the client relationship through to contract
Solution Design
- Design smart home solutions covering lighting, automation, and security systems
- Translate client requirements into practical, technically sound system designs
Handover & Coordination
- Hand over confirmed projects to the internal operations team for execution
- Ensure a smooth transition of project details, scope, and client expectations
Exclusions
- This role does not include hands-on installation work
Compensation
- Base salary of SGD 1,000 / month
- Commission of 8% on total monthly sales up to SGD 50,000
- Commission of 12% on total monthly sales above SGD 50,000
Commission is calculated based on total sales achieved per calendar month.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a consultative approach
- Working knowledge of smart home systems (lighting, automation, security) or willingness to learn
- Comfortable managing the full sales cycle — from lead generation to closing
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to translate client needs into clear technical proposals
- Effective communicator able to coordinate with internal operations teams
