Customer Service Executive (Logistics / Freight Forwarding)

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Key Account Executive / Assistant to support daily freight forwarding and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, coordinating shipments, handling shipping documentation, liaising with overseas agents, and ensuring compliance with customs and international trade requirements. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and possess strong customer service and coordination skills.
Working Location: Bukit Merah, Singapore
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM
Responsibilities
Handle customer enquiries regarding shipment status, vessel ETA, freight charges, and related matters.
Maintain strong customer relationships and provide prompt, professional support.
Coordinate shipment activities with customers, overseas agents, and internal stakeholders.
Prepare, verify, and dispatch shipping documents accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with customs requirements and international trade regulations.
Manage freight documentation and perform accurate data entry into operational systems.
Prepare quotations and advise customers on freight rates, tariffs, and operational requirements.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve operational issues.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics operations preferred.
Good understanding of international shipping procedures, documentation, and customs regulations.
Familiarity with shipping Incoterms and freight forwarding processes.
Experience in air freight and/or sea freight operations is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused with a service-oriented mindset.
Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Comfortable working with logistics management systems and data entry processes.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Good command of written and spoken English.
