Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to the appropriate cost centre and projects.
- Verify supporting documents and approvals before posting invoices.
- Prepare payment schedules and process supplier payments on a timely basis.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies with vendor
- Assist in monitoring subcontractor and vendor balances.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Generate customer invoices and progress billings based on project requirements.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Allocate receipts and perform customer account reconciliations.
- Escalate long-overdue accounts to management when necessary.
Reconciliation & Month-End Closing
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for supplier and customer accounts.
- Assist in bank reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
- Support month-end closing activities and journal postings.
- Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and completely.
System Migration & Data Reconciliation
- Verify and reconcile customer, supplier, and general ledger balances between legacy and new systems.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during system migration.
- Ensure supporting schedules and reconciliations are properly documented.
Administrative & Finance Support
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in GST reporting and audit requests.
Requirements
Qualifications
- LCCI, Diploma, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in engineering, construction, M&E, or project-based industries.
- Familiarity with project costing and progress billing.
- Experience with ERP or accounting system migration projects is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GST requirements and accounting controls.
