Account Assistant

Key responsibilities

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and receipts in the accounting system

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and financial records

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

• Reconciling bank statements and identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Supporting accounts payable functions, including vendor invoice processing and payment scheduling

• Supporting accounts receivable activities, including customer invoicing and payment tracking

• Data entry and management of financial information in various accounting software systems

• Assisting with payroll administration under the guidance of senior accounting staff

• Filing and organizing financial documents and ensuring proper record-keeping

• Supporting the preparation of audit documentation and responding to audit queries

Key Requirements

• Diploma or A-Level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Proficiency in bookkeeping principles and basic accounting practices

• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills

• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively within deadlines

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

• Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

• Familiarity with GST/tax compliance procedures is advantageous

• Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
