Job Summary
The HR Manager will lead the cleanup, standardization, and daily operation of HR functions across multiple F&B brands. This hands-on role focuses on implementing practical HR systems to reduce chaos and improve accountability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employment contracts, work pass records, leave tracking, and statutory submissions (CPF, IRAS, MOM) to ensure compliance with the Employment Act and safety regulations across all outlets
- Develop and maintain an accurate organisation chart and regularly review and revise job descriptions for all operational roles including cashier, server, barista, cleaner, shift supervisor, and outlet manager
- Keep the employee handbook current, communicate policy changes effectively to staff through briefings and notice boards, and manage disciplinary issues in accordance with handbook policies
- Lead the quarterly and annual performance appraisal process using simplified forms, collaborate with outlet managers to set 3–5 KPIs or OKRs per role, and track appraisal completion rates
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for operational staff by posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and delivering structured onboarding for new hires
- Act as the first point of contact for employee grievances, attendance issues, and minor disputes, escalating serious matters to owners and conducting exit interviews
- Lead or support HR cleanup projects including organisation chart updates, handbook revisions, performance management system improvements, and recruitment tool enhancements as directed by an external HR consultant
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Business Management with HR focus or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in the F&B industry (food courts, coffee shops, casual dining groups)
- Experience managing HR for multiple brands or outlets under one organisation (e.g., restaurant group, food court operator)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel for tracking, Word for policy documentation) and familiarity with MOM portals (EPOL, WPOL)

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse operational staff
