Manufacturing Operations Executive (Precision Machining)

We are an AS9100-certified precision engineering company serving the aerospace, automation and high-technology industries. We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Manufacturing Operations Executive to take ownership of our daily machine shop operations and ensure production runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the machine shop.

• Spend the majority of your time on the shop floor, monitoring production progress and supporting the team - not behind a desk.

• Conduct regular walkabouts to ensure jobs are progressing according to schedule and identify issues before they become delays.

• Coordinate with machinists, QC, purchasing and management to keep production running smoothly.

• Ensure materials, tooling, fixtures and consumables are available before production starts.

• Monitor production schedules and resolve bottlenecks.

• Maintain a clean, organised and audit-ready machine shop through effective 5S practices.

• Oversee tooling organisation, machine shop consumables, cleaning supplies and general housekeeping.

• Coordinate machine shop maintenance and ensure equipment and common areas are well maintained.

• Update production records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on operational role. You are expected to be actively present on the shop floor, engaging with the production team and ensuring smooth daily operations.
