ACMV Technician (East)

The ACMV Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations. The technician will support preventive maintenance programs and attend to breakdowns to minimize operational disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and servicing of ACMV systems.
• Monitor and maintain chillers, cooling towers, AHUs (Air Handling Units), FCUs (Fan Coil Units), pumps, exhaust fans, and ventilation systems.
• Carry out troubleshooting and repair works for mechanical and electrical faults related to ACMV equipment.
• Conduct periodic system performance checks and recommend improvement measures.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently and complies with operational standards.

Corrective Maintenance

• Attend to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Replace defective components such as motors, belts, bearings, valves, thermostats, and control devices.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and servicing works.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance works are carried out in accordance with Workplace Safety and health (WSH) regulations.
• Comply with company SOPs, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping in plant rooms and work areas.
• Report safety hazards and equipment abnormalities to supervisor

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment history.
• Update preventive maintenance schedules and asset registers.
• Prepare daily reports on completed works and outstanding issues.
• Assist in audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance checks.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in ACMV maintenance
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications may be considered for junior positions.
• BCA/WSQ certifications related to ACMV systems will be an advantage.
