Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and innovative IT manager to lead our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing both infrastructure engineering and solution architecture functions, ensuring the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT systems that support the company's business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure design, deployment, and troubleshooting, as well as expertise in solution architecture and design principles.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with sales teams and clients to understand business requirements and technical constraints.

2. Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end solutions that meet client needs, including architecture design, system integration, and technical implementation.

3. Create detailed technical proposals, including solution architecture diagrams, cost estimates, and timelines.

4. Lead the development of proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate technical feasibility and solution approach.

5. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

6. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

7. Work closely with product managers to prioritize features and enhancements based on client feedback and market trends.

8. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

9. Serve as a subject matter expert on technology platforms, frameworks, and tools.

10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions on time and within budget.

11. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems.

12. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patch management, firmware upgrades, and system backups.

13. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

14. Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.

15. Plan and execute infrastructure projects, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and budgeting.

16. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT support teams as needed.

17. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours.

18. Serve as the designated data protection officer, ensuring the security and integrity of data.

19. Take ownership of ISO certification and renewal processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.

2. Proven experience as a Head of IT or similar role, with a minimum of X years of experience.

1. Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.

2. Experience with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

3. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

4. Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and RAID configurations.

3. Strong background in software development, with proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, etc.

4. In-depth understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

5. Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

6. Knowledge of enterprise application integration patterns and technologies (e.g., RESTful APIs, messaging queues, ESBs).

7. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.

2. Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

3. Previous experience in a client-facing role, delivering presentations and conducting workshops.

4. Knowledge of big data technologies and analytics platforms.

5. Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.

6. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.

7. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).

8. Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).

9. Experience with network security appliances (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs) and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

10. Previous experience in ITIL-based environments and familiarity with IT service management processes.

11. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
