Job Summary
You will analyze financial data, ensure compliance with accounting standards, support budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate across departments to drive accurate reporting and effective decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial and management reports to identify significant trends and variances for informed decision-making
- Ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards, including revenue recognition and Bill & Hold processes
- Develop and maintain margin dashboards analyzing shop performance by work scope and customer segments
- Coordinate timely follow-up on warranty claims by liaising with relevant contacts
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic planning
- Partner with business units to deliver timely and accurate financial information for decision support
- Review and perform SOX testing to evaluate internal control effectiveness and support audit processes
- Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and analysis
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting
- Participate actively in finance and continuous improvement projects as needed
- Assist with additional accounting activities as assigned by supervisors
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor of Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- CPA certification or intention to pursue CPA
- Proficient in MS Office applications with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards is advantageous
- Experience with Hyperion reporting system and SAP is a plus
- Relevant audit experience is beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to engage with all organizational levels
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Positive team player attitude with willingness to contribute to projects
