Responsibilities:
- Lead software application upgrade and modernization initiatives.
- Oversee application architecture, software development lifecycle, deployment, testing and release management.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned banking projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and governance standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact between consulting firm, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee solution design, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring quality and alignment with objectives
- Govern software quality, security, performance and scalability.
- Manage integration between SaaS platforms and enterprise banking applications.
- Drive technical solution design and implementation for application migration projects.
- Mentor and guide project team members, including consultants and client staff, to foster collaboration and productivity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience managing enterprise software applications, application modernization, system implementation, or application upgrade initiatives.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end software application lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and application delivery frameworks, including Waterfall and Agile practices.
- Experience managing application upgrade, migration, modernization, or cloud/SaaS transformation projects within complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of application architecture, system integration, API connectivity, data migration, and software release management.
- Experience overseeing software vendors, development teams, system integrators, and technical delivery partners.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions and provide governance over application quality, security, performance, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry, with exposure to enterprise banking applications, is preferred.
- Japanese language proficiency is advantageous for liaising with Japanese-speaking business stakeholders and regional teams.
