Product Engineer (ICT)

The Product Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and delivering high-quality digital products that solve real business and customer problems. Combining full-stack software engineering with product thinking, this role works closely with business stakeholders to translate ideas into scalable solutions while driving continuous product improvement through data and user feedback.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys building products, collaborating across cross-functional teams, and taking ownership from concept to production. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with analytical thinking, customer empathy, and a passion for delivering impactful digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Ownership &Feature Delivery

• Own the end-to-end delivery of product features, from requirements shaping and prioritisation through to release and post-launch evaluation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities while supporting sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Manage feature releases, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and user expectations.

Stakeholder Engagement ∏ Design

• Partner with business stakeholders, designers, and technical teams to translate business needs into practical product solutions.
• Design product logic, configurations, and workflows, ensuring solutions are technically feasible and scalable.
• Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and technical concepts effectively across cross-functional teams.

Product Analytics &Continuous Improvement

• Analyse product usage, user feedback, and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and drive product enhancements.
• Use tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, or similar platforms to measure feature performance and support data-driven decisions.

Quality, Governance &Knowledge Sharing

• Support testing, release validation, and post-deployment activities to ensure successful feature delivery.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, and governance requirements.
• Maintain product documentation and share knowledge to support operational readiness and continuous improvement.

Full Stack Development(training provided for candidates who do not have prior full stack development experience)

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern technologies such as ReactJS, NodeJS, Python, or Java.
• Develop front-end and back-end components, RESTful APIs, and SQL/NoSQL database integrations.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure performance, maintainability, reliability, and security.
• Support WordPress development, maintenance, and customisation where required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Product Engineer, Product Owner role or related digital product role.
• Hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer with coding responsibilities will be an advantage.
• Proven track record of owning product features end-to-end from requirement shaping through to release and post-launch iteration.
• Experience in app and web-based product environments exposure to SaaS, edtech, or platform-based industries is an advantage.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies with hands-on experience in sprint planning and backlog management.
• Comfortable working as an individual contributor in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities across stakeholders.
• Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Figma, and Notion.
• Frontend & Backend Proficiency: Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS, ReactJS/React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, and server-side languages (NodeJS, Python, Java).
• API & Data Management: Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
